Who Am I?

My name is Robyn Lay. I am a 50 something (well maybe more like 50+ something) woman who is doing my dead level best to make every day I have left count! I am proud to call myself a born again Christian and invite everyone to accept Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior. It is imperative that we know, that we know, THAT WE KNOW, where we will spend eternity! Jesus loves us all! It really is that simple.

In addition to loving Jesus, I also live with an addiction to trail riding and horse camping. I am currently testing a theory that if I do it often enough; the desire will wear thin. So far that isn’t happening 🙂 Which is probably no surprise to any fellow equestrian who is similarly affected!

My GO -TO horse is a Black Leopard Appaloosa mare – WA Ulrich Gem – AKA Siouxie (pronounced Suzy). She is 14 and solid as a rock. She has the best mind of any horse I have ever ridden. This year she will earn her Medallion from the Appaloosa Horse Club for 1000 miles of sanctioned trail ride miles. We have been working towards this goal since 2014 when we attended our first annual Chief Joseph progressive trail ride.

Our current goal is to ride in every state we can drive to. So far we have 13 down and 35 to go. I hope to share our adventures both past and present on this blog page. This is a first for me and though I have been fortunate enough to see some of my writing published; I have not “blogged” until now. Here’s hoping it goes well and some of you find our stories interesting and informative! God Bless and Happy Trails!!!

  • Because it gives new readers context. What are you about? Why should they read your blog?
  • Because it will help you focus your own ideas about your blog and what you’d like to do with it.

  • Why are you blogging publicly, rather than keeping a personal journal?
  • What topics do you think you’ll write about?
  • Who would you love to connect with via your blog?
  • If you blog successfully throughout the next year, what would you hope to have accomplished?

When you’re ready to publish, give your post three to five tags that describe your blog’s focus — writing, photography, fiction, parenting, food, cars, movies, sports, whatever. These tags will help others who care about your topics find you in the Reader. Make sure one of the tags is “zerotohero,” so other new bloggers can find you, too.
